What to see in Gimel-les-Cascades

During your stay at campsite La Plage you can enjoy one of the most beautiful natural sites in the Corrèze. Gimel-les-Cascades is one of the most picturesque places in the Limousin. A flowery village, it is also a beautiful architectural ensemble with a rich historical past. Located 12 km from Tulle, the waterfalls form three falls of the river Montane. They follow each other at a height of 143 metres. The Grand Saut is 45 m, the Redole 38 m, and the Queue de Cheval 60 m. The latter plunges into the “gouffre de l’inferno”. Numerous signposted routes run alongside the waterfalls in the Vuillier Park, named after the painter Gaston Vuillier who designed it between 1893 and 1899. The Gimel waterfalls can be reached via a ticket office and a path. Choose your pitch or mobile home in our campsite to be able to admire this magnificent landscape.
